Dadaab, Kenya, July 16, 2016 (GSN) - Somali schoolgirls risk losing out on education and becoming child brides if they are forced to leave the world's largest refugee camp in Kenya and move to their war-torn country where there are not enough schools, Malala Yousafzai said on Tuesday.

Juba, July 14, 2016 (GSN) - More fighting could break out in South Sudan despite a two-day ceasefire that followed a major flare-up of violence in the capital, Juba, in which almost 300 people were killed, the UN peacekeeping chief has warned.

Nairobi, July 13, 2016 (GSN) - A “false” Facebook post on South Sudan’s First Vice President Riek Machar account caused the death of 272 people following renewed fighting among rival forces. The country’s embassy in Nairobi claimed James Gatdet, an official in the joint administration allegedly told Marcher's army – through an update on the account – that he had been detained by President Salva Kiir forces at the palace.
